Can shyness be inherited?

According to a new study started by CNN out loneliness may be caused by genetics. Some people find loneliness comforting while other's become sad, emotional and depressed. This feeling of loneliness stems from the fact that" loneliness is evolutionary, experts say. Humans would not survive in the wild alone." So the next time you feel lonely know it may not be a hormone imbalance, but your bodies way to correct its need for interaction.

PERSONALITY

The Jung test was not a great personality test simply because it was a yes and no test. It did not ask to what degree that certain question affected us. This test is based on Carl Jung and Isabel Myers-Briggs typological approach to personality. The results did not represent me at all, and surprised me greatly.

The personality lab test was much more through and measured the degree in which question affected us. which in turn gave us more in depth results. The results I received from the test represented me well. Each category I scored high in represented my personality. I scored high in the compasionate category, which does represent one of my personalities. an

The fifth wave personality test is one of the "widely-used approach to understanding the personalities in individuals." This in my opinion was not as in depth as the personality lab because it simply had Strongly agree or disagree. The test gave us 5 degrees of disagree/ agree , however it was not as in depth as the personality lab test. The tests results were rather conclusive, mirroring the results i got from the personality lab test.

The attractive test was not a great indicator of who I find attractive. Your overall average rating of attractiveness was 1.74, and the average rating by others is 3.79.You tended to rate the pictures presented as less attractive than the average person. Personality plays a huge attractive factor, not just looks.

The wanna test you personality test was very accurate in describing my personality. I scored a 45 meaning I have high emotional intelligence which mirrors my personality.

Case Study 5: A 28-year-old woman is a rising junior executive in her investment company. Her increasing duties require her to make periodic formal presentations to the senior management of the company. However, she becomes intensely anxious at the thought of speaking in public. When she is forced to give a presentation she begins to feel anxious days in advance of the talk and the anxiety increases as the time for the talk approaches. She is concerned that her anxiety will become noticeable during the talk or that she will do something to embarrass herself.

The 28 year old women has Social Phobia

Treatment include drugs such as Benzodiazepine tranquilizers, Monoamine oxidase inhibitors, Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, Beta blockers.

The 28 year old woman has social phobia because of her fear of speaking in public. This fear may be normal in everyone. However the women gets anxious and stressed which is a symtom of Social Phobia. Also when the woman talks she is afraid of others judging her another symtom of Social Phobia. These symtoms cause me to diagnose the woman with Social Phobia which is easily treatable with medicine.

Michael Phelps with AD/HD

Michael Phelps as a child in elementary school could not stay quiet, couldn't sit still in circle time. He also could not keep his hands to himself, and would always mess with the kids around him.
Teachers of Micheal Phelps were frustrated at Micheal because he would always disobey them and go the other way.

However, with AD/HD Michael Phelps in grade school excelled in things he held most dearly at the time, Gym and hand-on lessons. His mother Deborah Phelps had to encourage Michael Phelps daily to complete his school assignments. As a student in the academic field Michael Phelps did not excel. However with the deficit in that field he worked hard and excelled at others.

Michael Phelps was not always a good swimmer. He played many sports, and could not make up his mind on what to focus on. Even at Michigan state, Phelps was not a phenomenal swimmer. However as the years went by, the one thing Micheal Phelps loved the most swimming became the focus of his life. This focus came from all those years of hard work Micheal Phelp's mom put into him. Eventually Michael Phelp's hard work paid off, and he moved on and won multiple medals at the Olympics.
